Our Wonderful Staff
Judy has been with the clinic for over 20 years and loves meeting new people. She has a passion for helping others, especially in regards to their health and wellbeing . Judy comes from a background of a registered nursing assistant and has worked in both family medical offices as well as Grand River Hospital. Judy's passion for helping others is also apparent in all her volunteer work and participation with various committees at her church. Growing up on a farm greatly contributed to her love of the outdoors and her current hobbies of bird watching, gardening, hiking and camping.
Charlotte joined the clinic in the spring of 2014. In 1987, she graduated from the University of Waterloo Kinesiology Cooperative program. Charlotte then went on to become a teacher and spent 15 years of her career teaching elementary school math, science and physical education. During this time she also enjoyed coaching rec basketball for many years. Since 2004, Charlotte has enjoyed travelling to many countries such as South America, Africa, Iceland and Europe for up to 6 months. She and her husband are avid cyclists and have toured New Zealand, Cuba Argentina and Peru by bicycle. Most recently, they enjoy spending 6 months of the year living in the south island of New Zealand. Charlotte currently also volunteers at the Ten Thousand Villages in Waterloo and loves being able to walk to work at the clinic.
Sheila is delighted to have joined the clinic in May 2014. Sheila joins us after retiring from a very rewarding career as a registered nurse. She spent a good part of her career working locally at Grand River Hospital and at a local nursing home. In the most recent years of her career she fulfilled her dream of caring for seniors as a private caregiver/companion in a nursing home setting. She likes to garden, read, listen to music, make crafts and spend time with her Cocker Spaniel. Mostly, Sheila loves being a grandma and seeing the world all over again through the eyes of twin toddler boys and their older brother.
Judy Zarzycki joined our team in 2008 after retiring from a successful career in Human Resources and Health and Safety. Judy's wonderful organizational skills come in handy at the office, and with the dispensary. As Judy has been a patient of Dr. Bender's since the late 1970s, she found the step to working at the clinic a "perfect fit". Judy is passionate about living a healthy life and does so through healthy eating and various forms of exercise. She walks regularly and enjoys yoga, meditation, Qigong, and is a member of The Tai Chi Society. She believes good health is found in body, mind and spirit.
