An Award Winning Naturopathic Clinic in the Heart of Waterloo
Dr. John Bender, BSc, ND, principal at Waterloo Naturopathic Clinic, has been one of the pioneers of naturopathic medicine in Ontario.
in 1979, he graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. After he was admitted to practicing naturopathic medicine in Ontario, he furthered his studies under the mentorship of Naturopathic Doctor Arno Koegler, in Waterloo, and eventually took over his practice. Since then Dr. Bender has treated patients of all ages affected with a variety of ailments, from minor colds to severe chronic diseases.
In 2003, Dr. Bender received the prestigious award of Naturopath of the Year from the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. In 2007, he was chosen as one of the 50 Faculty of Science graduates to receive the Alumni of Honour Award from the University of Waterloo. He was recently awarded the prestigious award for Excellence in Holistic Medicine by the Holistic Doctors Recognition Board.
Dr. Anita Kieswetter, BSc, ND, graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004 at which point she joined Waterloo Naturopathic Clinic.
With a passion for natural healing, Dr. Kieswetter is committed to helping each individual achieve his or her best state of health in a safe and effective manner regardless of age or ailment. She brings to her patients an array of therapeutic knowledge and experience. Through diet and nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, and B12 injections her focus is to restore her patients' health and balance their own individual biochemistry and physiology.
We Help Patients with Acute and Chronic Conditions
At Waterloo Naturopathic Clinic our experienced naturopaths integrate natural therapies that have been used for centuries with the latest that scientific research has to offer.
We use proven methods such as acupuncture, diet and nutrition, lifestyle counselling, vitamin/mineral/nutriceutical supplementation, botanical remedies, homeopathy, and powerful but safe detoxification techniques.
Our reputation attracts patients from the Kitchener-Waterloo (KW) area as well as surrounding communities such as St Agatha, Elmira, Heidelberg, St Clements, Wellesley, Petersburg, New Hamburg, Stratford, Conestogo, Baden, and St. Jacobs.
Because of our education in basic health sciences, conventional medicine, and natural complementary care, we know how to incorporate current scientific research with natural methods.
Since we've been practicing for over 30 years, we offer our patients services based on knowledge and, most importantly, extensive clinical experience.
