With over 10 years of experience, she has treated patients of all ages, always supporting their body's innate ability to heal. She has a great appreciation and interest in gastrointestinal health, as this is often a root cause behind many medical ailments.
Dr. Kieswetter also has a special interest in women's health. Her personal journey with breast cancer at an early age, together with her work experience and education, has given her a deeper appreciation for health and prevention and the determination to provide excellent naturopathic healthcare to all her patients.
Extensive Training and a Dedication to Lifelong Learning
Dr. Kieswetter was born and raised in the Niagara Region. Her undergraduate studies brought her to Waterloo as a Canada Scholar where she attended the University of Waterloo to study biochemistry in the cooperative program. During her studies at the University of Waterloo, she also took part in an exchange program, taking her to the University of Sussex in Brighton, England.
In 1997, Dr. Kieswetter received her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry Cooperative. Upon earning her degree, she accepted a position at a local environmental engineering firm. This experience heightened her awareness of the widespread environmental issues that affect the world we live in: the water we drink, the food we eat, and the air we breathe.
It was a result of her work experience and her strong desire to help people that lead Dr. Kieswetter to enrol in the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2000 to become a Naturopathic Doctor and fulfill her passion.
She continues to give back to the Kitchener-Waterloo community in various ways, including supporting University of Waterloo students who are considering a career in naturopathic medicine and participating in local conferences and events.
